The finale also gave fans their first major tease for what comes next. David Genat confirmed that the next season of Australian Survivor will film in Malaysia and feature a "world-first theme" not previously seen in the franchise.
That is a big promise for a format that has already tested tribes through Champions v Contenders, Brains v Brawn, Heroes v Villains, Titans v Rebels and Blood v Water.
